Council Consent Questions and documents now online !

We now have answers to many council questions about building consents and applications for Thermocell Solar hot water systems.

The Resources and Documents menu has a vast list of available material for specific questions.

Please follow the below instructions to use this section.

Choose the council check sheet and application for the council required, found in council application forms folder

The standard documents to send in with the application are:

  1. Thermocell solar system operation manual
  2. Thermocell Fixing detail for the collector type, ie Flat Frame, 40deg, etc ( choose one)
  3. Roof penetration bulkhead detail- iron, tile or flat roof 
  4. Nelson Test results for collector performance
Options for each project
  1. 5way tee schematic if needed for retro fit ( check this installation if needed)
  2. Glycol system installation instructions ( if you have glycol needed for installation)

You will have to also notify us here for a producer statement to be issued for the system type, we will then issue one specific to the project, if one has not been sent already.
