 Steps needed to lodge a building consent for a solar hot water heater

1. Log into this website to view all files
2. Choose the council  and check sheet application for the council required, found in council application forms folder
3. Choose the Thermocell details you require from the Thermocell details for council folder.
4. Lodge application to council
   

The standard documents to send in with most applications are (execpt CCC):

1. Thermocell solar system operation manual
2. Thermocell Fixing detail for the collector type, ie Flat Frame, 40deg, etc (choose one)
   
3. Roof penetration bulkhead detail- iron, tile or flat roof 
4. Nelson Test results for collector performance

1. 5way tee schematic if needed for retro fit ( check this installation if needed)
2. Glycol system installation instructions ( if you have glycol needed for installation)

Also general New Zealand Building Code forms.

EECA National Grant Scheme

All documents here are viewable and downloadable by anyone on this site.

These documents relate to the goverment grants scheme for solar hot water rebates from June 2008. 

Only systems published by EECA are eligible for financial assistance. EECA publishes participating suppliers’ systems that have been tested to NZ Standards and performance modelled. Please visit the Systems that are eligible for funding assistance here.
