Thermocell solar controller

The thermocell solar controller supplied with your panel array gives you a wide operation range specially suited to you solar system. This controller is the latest technology from Thermocell and specialises in control of the heatsheet solar collector.

The wall mounted remote readout is basic yet stylish, plug and play connections for the solar pump and all electrics.

Function Buttons are:

HWC    Temperature of the water at the bottom of the HWC (cold inlet)
When the system is pumping (pump light ON) this indicates the temperature
of the water leaving the HWC and circulating TO the panels.

SOL    Temperature of the Last panel.
When the system is pumping (pump light ON) this indicates the temperature
of the water leaving the last panel and circulating back to the HWC

FRST    Temperature of the Frost protection probe – normally the first Solar Panel

AUX    (optional – may not be connected)
Press once:     Normally displays the temperature of the water at the top of the HWC (ie Hot Water outlet)
Press twice:    Displays hours of solar collection (pump running) since last reset (resets automatically after 100 hours)

Indicator Lights

PUMP    Indicates when pump is running
FROST    Indicates when frost sensor has activated the frost protection mode
– pump light should also be on
FAULT    Indicates that either a sensor or controller has failed. (see ‘Fault Finding’ page)
